About digibeet.nl
Why?
digibeet.nl is a joke. I have owned this domain since 1999, and it was time it did something useful: putting digibeets in the spotlight. There is no business model behind it: no ads, no subscriptions, no trading in data.
Privacy
No cookies, no trackers, no IP addresses, no external services. Only the names you enter are stored, and they are deleted automatically after 6 months. More on the privacy page.
Technology
A small Python script (standard library only, no external packages), an SQLite database and nginx in front, on a self-managed server in the EU. The site never sends e-mail itself, so it cannot be abused as a spam cannon.
Source code
The source code is open source (GPL), so anyone can check what the site does and does not do. View the source code.
